I'm Not Your Mirror

You've got that mystic spirit
I'm analytical as hell
I won't be the one to change it
What else would it change as well?
You have your universe
Overlapping with mine
At times, out of time

Yours is the world of images and dreams
Mine's in the words of a song
You think nothing's as it seems
I can't tell you you're wrong
Though everything's relative
Ah, there's still some room for truth
But it's no good to you

I don't know what you see when I look at you
I'll tell you what I see if you want me to

I see the glitter moon shine
I see every moment in time
I see the ghosts in your eyes
I see the memories crystallise
I see the silence of the breeze
I see the movement when you breathe
You're not like anybody else...

I'm not your mirror
But I sometimes see you in myself

We've been wondering, wondering
If everything is wrong
Remember, you're images and dreams
And I'm the song
You have your universe
Overlapping with mine
At times, out of time

You know what I see when I look at you?
I can even tell you if you want me to

I see the glitter moon shine
I see every moment in time
I see the ghosts in your eyes
I see the memories crystallise
I see the silence of the breeze
I see the movement when you breathe
I'm not like anybody else...

I'm not your mirror
But I sometimes see you in myself
