The Sky And The Sea

Tied to the sea and a memory
Meet me on the undercliff, that's where I'm gonna be
Around midnight
Trying to stay out of the light
They think I'm a ghost, that's what they want to believe
If they leave me alone, well, that's alright with me
The sea, the sky; the sky, the sea

My loneliness is deep, as deep as the sea
As clear as the sky and a memory
I ate the food, I drank the wine
I was the pretty little star of the tragedy
I thought I had it all, that's what I chose to believe
And when they left me alone
There was nothing but the sky and the sea

The sea, the sky; the sky, the sea
And yet they say the same to me
The endless echo of their song
That sometimes one and one is one
Across the winds and the tide
Sails a sigh the ocean wide
Rides a timeless harmony
Between the sky and the sea

I'm tired of the sea and the memory
Meet me on the undercliff, and set me free
I know you're the one
To unchain the spirit in me

Show me the horizon,
Show me the sky and the sea

The sea, the sky; the sky, the sea
And yet they say the same to me
The endless echo of their song
That sometimes one and one is one
Across the winds and the tide
Sails a sigh the ocean wide
Rides a timeless harmony
Between the sky and the sea

And yet they say the same to me
(O'er the winds, o'er the tide)
The endless echo of their song
(Sails a sigh the ocean wide)
That sometimes one and one is one
(Rides a timeless harmony)
Across the winds and the tide
(Between the sky and the sea)
Rides a timeless harmony
(And yet they say the same to me)
The endless echo of their song
That sometimes one and one is one
Sometimes one and one is one
